Memories from
The Summer Rocks Shows
2003 - 2008

This pile of broken drumsticks signaled the end of an era. Scroll down to relive memories of the 6 Summer Rocks Shows at the Sunset Theatre.

For the first five years The Summer Rocks Show was held on a Thursday night in August. This very popular show features local and regional bands that have been known to knock peoples socks off and as Nick Tobin says, "staple their bones together."

The final show was in September 2008, as part of the Fall Festival, on Saturday Night.

New this time was the Guitar Hero Contest before the show:

The First Summer Rocks Show was held August 7th 2003:

The Bands included 2 from The Extreme Tour that was passing through the Tri-Cities:
Active Ingrediants
and Unforsaken

plus two local bands:
Atomic Chad
and Plunk!

We learned a lot the first year, including talking to the bands about not setting their drums on fire during the performance...
